We are here to support you every step of the way! HOOPP offers a variety of resources to help you manage your administration effectively:

Employer Education

• Regional Managers: Your Regional Manager is here to provide you with all of the training and education support that you require. This can be done in a group setting or one on one. The Regional Manager is responsible for onboarding new employers and ensuring that they understand their role in the administration of the Plan.

Day-to-day administration

• Employer Services Specialists: Employer Services Specialists are available to answer questions, provide guidance and you with day-to-day administration.

Digital tools and resources

• Employer Administration Manual: The Employer Administration Manual is intended to help you understand your roles and responsibilities as a participating employer of HOOPP. It was created to provide guidance for the administration of the Plan and is designed to help employer contacts administer HOOPP consistent with the Plan text and HOOPP’s policies and procedures.

• Plan Text: serves as the legal foundation of the pension plan and HOOPP’s governing document.

• Employer Learning Centre: This is our one-stop resource centre for providing you with instructional videos and job aids that will help you in your day-to-day administration of the plan for your employees. If you need additional training, please contact your Regional Manager.

• HOOPP Insight: this is the main portal for all your administration– a walkthrough of the HOOPP Insight portal is included in the Introduction to HOOPP webinars – that’s why it’s important to ensure you attend a session! Of course, if you need additional training on HOOPP Insight, we welcome you to contact us.

Introduction to HOOPP for Employers

This webinar will provide new employers or new employer administrators with information on the administrative obligations, an overview of HOOPP Insight, and review available resources and support. Ensure you sign up for the appropriate session that applies to you.

Note: the above session is not intended for MPCs where the incorporated physician(s) are the sole employees under their MPC. 

For incorporated physicians only:

Incorporated Physicians Add-on Session:

Medicine Professional Corporation (MPC) employers joining HOOPP who have eligible employees under their MPC will attend the standard ‘Introduction to HOOPP for Employers’ session.  In addition, they will attend this add-on session that will focus on topics that are specific to physician business owners.

Introduction to HOOPP – MPC Session:

Medicine Professional Corporation (MPC) employers joining HOOPP who are the sole employees under their MPC will attend a standalone session tailored to an MPC where physician business owners are the only participants of the HOOPP Plan.

Member Data Collection (MDC) Overview

The member data collection is an important annual process – we want to ensure that you have enough information to complete the MDC. To learn more about this process, please click here.
